Eric,

Another way to standardize parts is to not insert ends in on 2 sides, but to=
lap each side onto one side & be lapped on the other. Hard for me to put in=
to words, but think about how you can close a cardboard box by closing each o=
f the flaps by folding them in all at once verses closing opposite sides tog=
ether.=20

I misunderstood something you originally said that made things more difficul=
t in my view. You said =E2=80=9Cnesting box=E2=80=9D. You meant a box that c=
ritters would nest in. I was thinking of boxes that would nest inside each o=
ther when stored. Mind recalibration made things much easier!

Here is the problem. I need to build about 10 to 20 nesting boxes for the l=
ocal wildlife rescue. These boxes aren't big or difficult to build (about 1=
2" X 20" X 12")=20

My question is, does anyone know of a website that will help you plan how to=
layout materials on sheet goods to reduce waste? I'm not sure I'm explaini=
ng this well. But a way to position each panel that needs to be cut so that=
I use the most material available with the least about of waste?=20

I also have a little flexibility in the dimensions, so if it is possible to t=
ry a bunch of different sizes easily to see what yields the most boxes for l=
east amount of raw material.=20

Thanks, me and the baby animals thank you.
