Off hand it looked like a good deal if the quality was good. But when I got t=
o the end of the list I saw that of the 1141 pieces that 1000 are considered=
 consumable parts.=20

There are some consumable items on this list that you will need but I suspec=
t not half of them.=20

I suggest you build your own set just buying your tools in smaller sets such=
as listed in Granger list. It will take longer but you won=E2=80=99t end up=
overpaying & not have to deal with all the cruft you won=E2=80=99t ever use=
.=20

Be sure to include safety equipment & a first aid kit.=20

Peace,
Pat

Thanks for all the answers so far - I've received some very helpful suggesti=
ons. Since I work for the Government, I have required sources (GSA)...for th=
is sort of thing there's some variety, and usually manufacturer names are me=
ntioned. In the process of searching generically for "maintenance tool set"=
, I found this item:

https://www.grainger.com/product/MOBILE-SHOP-1141pc-Preventative-Maintenance=
-4HFZ3=20

This looks like a good way to solve about 65% of my problem with one purchas=
e. But I'm not sure about the quality of anything included. It looks very h=
andy, and I can replace cheap tools, but I could also build my own if I felt=
 it was an advantage.=20

Anyone have any experience with these?
