With wires and hoses running all over, it can't be nearly as pleasing to 
look at as a 60's Hemi.  You have to admit his engine looks less 
pleasing than the SHO V6 with that beautiful intake right there without 
all the crud over it.

That is why DC and most manufacturers today cover the engine.  Cheaper 
than running everything to look good, probably better for maintenance 
ease too, but I would rather have a nice looking engine compartment 
without the plastic cover, or what is under it today.
