My '94 Topaz is throwing a couple codes.
157: (R,M) Mass Air Flow signal is/was low or grounded - MAF
212: (M) Ignition TACH signal was erratic (module/wiring) or SPOUT
circuit fault - Ignition Systems
The car will spit and sputter for a bit when acceleration from a stop or
if you let off the throttle to coast or hit the brakes then go to
accelerate again it sputters for a bit then takes off. It runs fine
when cruising and idling.
Any ideas what may be causing these codes? Could it be wiring or a bad
mass air?
