We remove the rubbers from both the front and rear of the 79 five  years
ago. The rear is very easy.  All the hardware to the frame can come off
too.  The tidy chrome bumper without overriders fits right on.  See the
Rimmer Bros catalog for the look.  The front is easy too, but you need
to grind/drill out some welds to remove two brackets in the way.  Then
you can bolt on a nice looking chrome bumper.  Any pre rubber MKIV/1500
will do.  Some have more hols than others.  Even the 78 with the fat
chrome overlay on the rear will do.  The overlay come right off.

I put two very small fiberglass overriders on the front.  See Rimmer
pics again.  The ones I got were from SpitBitz in England.  

Sure makes the car look good!
