Listers,

Just finished off my first day back at work (yuck) since leaving last =
Thursday a.m. for the Moss Motors Festival in Solvang/Buelton, CA. HOT, =
HOT, HOT...(Not the song you yutz)...This had to be the hottest ever for =
this event. =20
Another outstanding presentation by the Moss people, including the =
customary events, Wine rally, TSD Rally, Autocross/Slalom, Darts and =
Funkahna under the lights, Creeper races and Pinewood Derby for the kids =
(as if the hay bales weren't enough for them).

Only problem, as I could see it, was since it was all free, you knew it
=
would be crowded. Now I could go for the 500 some British cars that =
were there any time. The only thing was, since Moss sells Miata parts, =
around 200 of them also showed up. As far as I could tell...they were =
IDENTICAL. (Okay, so I'm not a big aficionado of the marque...I'm sure =
there were SOME differences) By the end of the weekend, I found my =
attention actually drawn to go over and look at this Bright Yellow =
Bumble Bee schemed one.

Our hero Barry Schwartz, despite having to swap out clutch plates in =
the driveway of the stables, was reunited with the First place popular =
choice award in the Spitfire class. It always gets a First place vote =
from me, even over my own. =20

Glad to be back in the relative cool of the SF Bay...hey, low 90's are =
a breeze after that.
