Oh, one thing I *have* gotten done lately is setting up a digest version
of this list. Basically it is just a collection of the day's postings,
sent as a single mail message per day. Well, you might get more if there
is a lot of traffic, as the digests should also get sent out if they get to
be 50,000 characters long. And with the way folks don't bother to spend any
time or intelligence trimming down included replies, or feeling some need
to list their entire life's history in their sig files, it sometimes doesn't
take long to reach that 50K size!
So if you would prefer getting one big batch of mail, rather than each
individual message, you can try it out. Just send mail to
majordomo@autox.team.net
with the commands
unsubscribe spitfires
subscribe spitfires-digest
Actually, you may want to hold off on the unsubscribe, and see if the digest
works for you before you turn off the regular list mail.
