I went to Radio Shack and bought a pair of speakers that mount nicely in front
of the A-post. They come with mounting stud on the side. I drilled a 1/4 inch
hole through the side wall. If I recall correctly, the hole appears just below
the latch that holds the bonnet down. When painted, you don't even know they are
there.
I'm sorry I don't have the model number of the speakers. They have a black
plastic enclosure, are about 8" high X 4" wide X 4" deep. They have a small
woofer, and a coaxial midrange/tweeker. Sound quality is reasonable. As always,
any sound system is impractical when underway at speed. There is just too much
road and drive-train noise.
