Many thanks to those who pointed me to listqest and Yellow Pages (TM)
for info about my PDWA rebuild needs.  As soon as I started reading
the first triumphs archive article, I realised the note I saw was on
the VTR maintenance page, not in a recent post!  It seemed so fresh,
but so unplaceable.
