1. Spit-aholic
2. By MIG welder I mean the machine, as opposed to a burly guy with leather
gloves and a vertical smile. (Oh, or is that a self-portrait) (thought I'd
get it in before some-one else did)

Fellow Spitlisters:
I'm Nick and I'm a Spit-aloha...
The fan clutch is humming a tune that can be just be made out to be "If you
don't replace me soon I'm going to embarrass us". My local supplier wants
$190.00 exchange for a new one. I'm wondering if this is the time to replace
it with an electric fan. Does anyone happen to know of one with a shroud
that will fit, that can be picked up from a junkyard in-expensively? I'm in
Canada so North American or Japanese would be my best bet.
The local British car place has a new electric fan for $50.00, and I don't
have a real problem with the price, except that there is no thermostat and
no shroud, so it will have to be secured by zip-ties (or whatever they're
called) right through the radiator. I'd prefer to have one that is secured
to the radiator support frame.
All suggestions gratefully received, some might not be acted upon depending
on content(!)

I'm hoping there's a MIG welder in my future
