listers, for the past 5 years a 78 spit has been my dailey driver, and also
the newest car I own, had the alternator go out on me while driving, but,
made it home for repairs and then 2 weeks ago had the exhaust come loose
(original), used a "putter" on the side of of the road (rt #95), to hold it
in place and get back home. I feel the only difference between these cars
and big U.S "iron" as a dailey driver is, how we use them. They were not
made for the constant dailey high speed interstate "rage", not having all
the modern computer technology installed in them and also like our "senior
citizens", they need a little more care from time to time, but they are as
dependable as the others out there today. They remind me of a lesson I
learned many years ago from a very fine older lady, "you take good care of
me honey, and I'll sure take care of you". "FT"
