I recently bought a set of wheels that were auctioned on ebay. They
were advertised as fitting either a Triumph Spitfire or a BMW. When I
got the wheels I found that they would not fit my 80 Spitfire. The
studs would fit into the holes but just barely, rubbing the inside of
the hole, far from centered. No way to get the tube lug nut in. I
contacted the people I bought them from. I think we are going to work
it out, but they still insist the wheels came off a Spitfire. My car is
a 1980, they say the wheels were taken off a 1962. Is there a
difference in Spitfire bolt patterns?
