ISTR that the Mk I and II were 1 3/8", but after that
may be bigger, because the crankshaft nose is bigger.
What about using a cheap import sized oil filter
wrench? BTW, if you remove the spark plugs first, you
can usually turn the motor by hand by grabbing the
belt.
