With some regrets I have decided to part with my GT6. This was a car I
had wanted for about 18 years, took about a year of hunting to find the
"right" one after setting aside the funds. The car has been in a climate
controlled garage in NC since I acquired it. Details as follows:

1971 GT6 MKIII, 100,000+ miles
Purchased from original owner in winter 98/spring 99
Car was purchased new in Southern Ca., then owner moved to Arizona. Car
had been kept in garaged storage in Arizona and driven only occasionally
until I purchased it and had it shipped to NC.
Car is completely original and unrestored. Original color is Damson
(currently covered by a bad silver respray)
Has light surface rust in driver's footwell due to leaky master
cylinder, needs battery box. No rust anywhere else on chassis, no body
damage or evidence of accident. The paint on the underside of the floor
is still in good shape, just wet your finger and rub off the desert
dust...
New tires when purchased
Spares (as in in addition to what's in the car)
(1) Engine, disassembled, complete, most parts
cleaned/peened/oiled/stored
(2) 4 speed transmissions
(1) 3.27 Differential
(1) driveshaft
(1) pickup truck load of misc. gauges, lamps, starters, alternators, kyb
shocks, some hyd. rebuild kits, distributors, etc. for a MKIII (you'll
never run out)
new seat covers, 1 installed (black vinyl)
fiberglass transmission tunnel cover
...and a bunch of other parts I have stored but can't recall what's in
those boxes

I only drove the car around the parking lot at work before taking it
home and putting it up. The trans. and diff in the vehicle need
rebuilding, spares are low mileage (36,000). Engine is strong. My
criteria in purchasing this car was to find the best candidate for frame
off restoration to build the car I wanted. There is no body work to do
(except for the odd door ding), no rust to clean up. I have the
original window sticker, original owners manual, etc. that will go with
the car. Price is $3500.00 for everything.
Here's the rules:
Don't contact me unless you have the money and are serious about
purchasing the car, I do not have the time nor the patience for
lookers. If you have serious intentions, please feel free to contact me
and I'll be glad to answer your questions.
The price is fair, it is not negotable, this is not something I have to
sell.
I reserve the right to change my mind (but likely won't at this point)
since the odds of finding another GT6 in this condition which can be
purchased from the original owner are slim.

Regards,
Allen Patterson
