intake exhaust gasket and studs

On the intake exhaust gasket should I use any sealant, I bought some high
temp copper permatex (I think that is what it is called).  I wanted to know
if I should use this or not.  

Also, does anyone know the length of the studs for the intake and exhaust.
I have to go buy these at lunch!!
