Decal Locations

I've got some questions regarding the decals on a 1500 Spitfire

1) Does anyone know where I can find a picture of the front and back of a 
1500 Spitfire so that I can get the correct locations?  Would someone with 
original decals be willing to measure the locations?

2) The decals I have are transfer vinyl and I have had them for a few years 
without installing them.  How do I clean the car wax off before I stick these 
on?
