Howdy all y'all--

I dropped by Sears on the way home from work this evening. They did have
American Racing wheels on sale, just not for $50 each. The $50 sale is on
their "Z Racing" brand name wheels as opposed to "American Racing", which
explains why I couldn't find a reference on the American Racing homepage.
They looked pretty good, from what I could tell. However, they're imported
from the Peoples Republic of China, which is why Sears can sell them so
cheap (my suspicion).

They have three models on sale, two of which are for front wheel drive
vehicles. The only rear wheel drive style they have is a six spoke with a
slight swirl effect on each spoke near the rim. Looks kind of like it's
moving standing still.

BTW, the Sears in Fairborn OH did not have anything that would fit on a
Spitfire - Z Racing or otherwise - because of the odd-ball lug size. Which
is a shame because I'd already talked my wife into the "great deal" these
were going to be. -sob!-

just the same.

Just spoke to a tech at American Racing, and they do not make 4 x 3.75"
wheels in any one of their range of wheels, so this is a no go for the Spit
owners amongst us. Pity, it's quite a deal ....
