I also have a 65 MK2 that the "DPO" gutted the wiring, in an atempt to create a 
Racing Car. Even went as far as to use a cutting torch to remove the heater box 
from the firewall! And the dash is another chapter! Unless I find something 
better, the prelabeled, color coded, heavy duty wire harness from Painless 
Wiring looks pretty good.
