Well, I don't have a slanted radiator Spit (mine's a '72) but
I happen to be dismantling a later model that has an oil
cooler you describe.

This must be a owner modification, but he welded a piece
of angle iron (90 degree) between the front frame pieces
so the apex of the angle iron is at the top. The oil cooler
sits on the forward side, i.e., angled slightly downward.

It's bolted to the angle iron via two holes bored through
the angle iron. It is approx six inches in front of the
radiator.

This is, to be honest, a very clean job. All the welds were
cleaned up, everything painted in Rustoleum, and the hoses
to the oil filter adapter are nice braided steel.
