Suzie, as a Brit over here (or over there, as the case may be from your point
of view) the keyboards are the same. I do remember in the old days that there
was a currency symbol where the # is. Also it depends on your systems (PC or
otherwise) configuration, what you see. They can be set up for US or UK
english. When I used ones in the UK they had the # and not the currency symbol.

Same when you print. I hated computer printouts full of the currency symbols
instead of hash symbols for the comments.

Alan

p.s. glad to hear that you missed getting flooded.

p.p.s. I am still awaiting my exhaust system I ordered in July from Rimmers as
they have had supplier problems getting the middle sections for the system I
want, nothing to do with the flooding. But then I have had a chnce to get my
car repained and have most of the trim back on.

GBP is always understandable, even by us Brits!
(so, how come a UK keyboard has both # & $, but your US keyboards aren't so
accommodating?)

Suzie

PS: The flooding's been very bad in places - but not in Gosport, luckily for
me & Baby Blue.
