Suction cup mounts work fine for temporary situations, but they do affect
your paint. Any amount of dust or even if the suction cup surface itself
is not absolutely perfect in surface will cause it to slowly sand nice
circles into your paint. If you get any grit in there, it gets worse very
fast indeed. The vibrations of your car and the wind will do a number on
it. So will the nylon straps.
