FYI - SIA (Special Interest Autos) has a very nice 6 page article on a 1966
Spitfire Mk II in the August issue. Michael Cook, who was in advertising and
public relations with Standard-Triumph and later British Leyland in the US,
wrote the story. The car is owned by Ed Abbot of New Jersey.
The August issue of Practical Classics has a 5 page article on the
restoration of a 1967 Spitfire Mk III.
