You only need to check and compare cylinders 4 and 2 (1 being the one by the
radiator!), as they are the easiest of each pair to get to!
Don't assume that equal turns on the mixture screws give equal results.
All I do is put the colortune in no.4. Adjust to the right mixture. Then repeat
no. 2. Readjsut the idle speed. And Bobs your uncle!!
I agree about the position of number one plug, but I have worked out that by
plug socket that has a hex on one end, and an adjustable wrench to turn the hex
just about do it!!
I wouldn't complain about the design of the spit engine, there are few cars
machanics seat is provided on both sides of the engine (the wheels). and whats
they are padded...
Good luck and just think at least you only have 2 carbs, I've got 4 on my spit
(webers), which means 4 idle jets, 4 main jets, 4 immulsion tubes, 4 air
jets, 4 venturi....
