I just pulled out my original 1980 Spitfire
handbook from my 1980 Spit (owned/bought
in 1980)

I had installed just such a device,... and wouldn't you
know it...I marked the schematic where I had installed
it.

any 12v buzzer you select, simply connect it between
the hot wire of any dash light and the white wire
coming from your ignition switch.

Granted, ...my ckt was a bit more than a buzzer. I had built
a toner ckt that fed a spkr where I could program a
pleasant rather than irritating signal.
...ha.... the schematic for which is still in the back of that handbook
