dolly engine in spit

A while ago someone on one of these lists mentioned that I would have to
swap the flywheel from my spit engine to the dolly engine.  Both units
are from '77 cars.  Is this the case or can I get away with leaving the
dolly flywheel on the dolly engine before installing it in the spit?
