I always use engine oil. The heavier the grade the richer the mixture
when you accelerate. Some folks use lighter oils. Normally I use 20W50
in my spitfire. Even when I used to own a Triumph in the UK and the car
was kept outside and the temperature dropped below freezing that was
what I used and still use now that I live in the US, even with the
higher summer temps and a car that is stored in garage.
