Last call..... only 4 days until the 2002 Spit-Together.
It all starts this Friday afternoon, June 12th.
The gang has been working hard to get last minute changes figured out,
and everything lined up. Things are looking good, and even the weather
guessers are saying we might have a mild (70-75F) sunny weekend for
our events. If you have not decided whether to come out and join in
the festivities, think hard and fast.
We will have a countryside drive through Lucas, Ohio Friday evening, a
Panoramic Triumph photo at 11am Saturday in the infield, a Parade lap
at noon on Saturday, a Triumph Banquet Saturday evening, another
parade lap at noon on Sunday, and an all Triumph race at 1:30pm Sunday
afternoon, and general vintage racing all weekend long. Many vendors
will be there, TSI-Ted Schumacher, & The-Roadster-Factory, and lots of
others.
Remember, NASS will be awarding some trophies on Saturday afternoon,
with separate classes for early & late Spits, GT6's, Daily Drivers,
"Other" Brit cars, and one "Diamond in the Rough" which the winner
also receives a $300 gift certificate from Spitbits, courtesy of Nigel
Cosh. Be sure to thank him personally next time you place an order at
Spitbits. With having the Daily driver & Diamond in the Rough
categories, we hope that many of you that have less than perfect cars
will bring them out anyway. It's a time to share stories, parts, and
fellowship.
