I don't know nuttin' about any Arthur Smith, but there
is a web page with neoprene gaskets by Jim Wagner:

It says that he's currently working on gaskets for the
Spitfire.
He's also been advertising on Ebay, though his recent
auction (dutch auction for either 20 or 40 TR4/250
style gaskets for $19 ea.) appears to be over and
gone. But it said to contact him if you would like to
be put on the list of potential customers of the
Spitfire Neoprene type gasket whenever it does come
into production.
