Jeff.... please report back to us all, what the actual
cause was for the 'rippling'. (adhesion... layers and drying
times etc etc) Maybe it'll stop other from running into the
same problems while DIYiing.

    Paul, Joe, etc.,

Thank you for your replies. I've got happy news to report. My painter is
apparently a man of real character. I took the car by to show him the
problem, and also pointed out some other areas that I wasn't pleased with,
including a couple of spots that I screwed up during assembly, and he's
promised to take care of everything to my satisfaction at no charge. He also
is going to weld up a stress crack in the rear valance that his body man
missed during the prep, which of course will require him to repaint the whole
thing. I was really, REALLY impressed by his attitude and his willingness to
make everything right.

I had Mrs. Jones up to about 75 MPH on the freeway with the O/D doing its
thing and was very pleased with the ride and handling. No shimmies, minimal
vibration, etc. It was really a joy to be out there driving on such a
beautiful day like this.

    All's well that ends well.

    Take care,

    Jeff in San Diego
