This is a e-mail from my "Model A" club, they usually send about 3 a month,
just thought it might be of some interest for your local club or maybe get a
few ideas "FT"

Fellow Clubbers,

We are trying to add as many email address of members to this list as
possible. Hoping to keep all informed of what is happening and not to blow any
fluff. There are a few newbies on this run- thanks for joining. You guys get
these Musing's when ever my feeble mind thinks of sumthin to say. We don't do
fancy as some members still have hand cranked cars and computers.

Talked to Frank and Elaine Stoner the other morning. They are doing fine. He
doesn't come to the meeting in the winter as night driving is a challenge. He
hopes to attend in the summer months where the daylight is available longer.
Their car is running great and they have a G gauge train in the basement that
the neighborhood kids enjoy playing with. He sure had some interesting
experiences in the Secret Service driving Presidential cars. He remembers
driving the armored Packard that weighed 11,000 pounds. He said that thing
would settle in a curve and accelerate thru the curve big time. When President
Truman took over, he didn't have an armored car, so they used Al Capone's,
till Packard and Ford could provide them with armored cars. President Truman
had a Packard and a Lincoln. The Lincoln is in Dearborn, but he doesn't
remember where the Packard is. Give 'em a call/email and chat.

John Kandl just found a '46 Ford coupe for sale. In prime with the body
looking good. Trim all there. Interior looks good. John thinks the flathead
motor has been rebuilt. $2000 takes it quick. Contact Art at 540-825-2571. As
of today it is still there. Sounds toooo good to me. Who's gonna jump on it??

Also there is a 40 Ford coupe setting in front of the old recycling center in
Culpepper. If you go down 17 and turn in toward Culpepper proper, it will be
on the right. John says it has a sign in it but he did not stop and check it
out. He said it looked like a good old 40 coupe should hadda aughter look

Howard County and Cowtown this weekend Howard County is an AACA flea market
held at the Howard County Fairgrounds just off Route 70, west of Baltimore.
The Baltimore A's usually set up a couple of booths there and have some fun.
There is always some Model A parts available. The booths are about 50/50
inside and outside plus some in cattle barns. It is usually cold and damp
there so wear appropriate clothing. Dave Henderson and I go for the hopes of
landing a great bargain and to harass the Baltimore boys. The Gas show has
move this year to the Frederick Fair Grounds. This could be most interesting.
The show has been down some and hopefully the new digs will be an improvement.
Gas station memorabilia, signs, cans, paper and other goodies show up. They
have an auction, but I don't know when.
