After reading through various peoples thoughts... I think I might try
the heavy plastic that Ken recommended simply because it gives me a nice
cheap way to determine if there is any improvement before I go throwing
money at it...

I've had my Spitfire for 5 years now, took off the ratty panels on day 1
for better access, and have had no problem. I've had a sheet of aluminum
just sitting and waiting but love the great access so she'll remain as
