Hey folks,
While at the racetrack yesterday (yes, on a *TUESDAY*!!), I was introduced to a
guy who has one, maybe two, '68 Spits for sale. I say "maybe two" because he's
received money for one of them, but the buyer has yet to come get the car, so
he's still unsure if the deal will be completed.
But, he still has the other '68 and just wants to find it a good home.
Condition was described to me as "restorable", but it sounds like it's decent
(for the most part - he mentioned small patches of rust that could be fixed),
but I have no idea if it's complete. He's only asking $500 (each) because, as
I said, he just wants to find them/it a good home. They are located somewhere
in the MD/DC/VA/WV area (boy, that narrows it down, eh?), but likely not very
far at all from DC.
If you're interested, you might get lucky. The other "sold" car was described
to me (by someone I know to be a tough critic of cars and of the belief that
anything under 300hp is too slow) as "dust it off, flush the fluids, tune the
carbs, and go". So if that deal falls through......
