An alternative is the rust encapsulator paint from Eastwood Co.
(www.eastwood.com, IIRC). I been putting it on my Spitfire. I
haven't used it long enough to speak about from experience about its
effectiveness, but it is easy to work with. It's a fairly thick
paint available in cans (which I used with a brush for large areas)
and in spray cans (which I used for hard to reach areas). It was
recommended to me by Chuck Giorgio, whose TR6 won best in show at the
British Invasion this year. YMMV, of course.
