Does anybody know, offhand, the Fram (or better) oil filter number for a
1500 Midget?
I've traced an oil leak to the bolt that holds the filter head on and today
the new o-rings arrived from good ole Moss. Better replace the filter while
I'm at it. When this is fixed, I really believe that this car will not be
leaking any oil!! No kidding! I don't know why. The speedo says 62,000
miles, which I think is genuine looking at the condition of the seats and
such. Anybody else has a MG that doesn't leak?
The mechanic who initially "fixed up" my 1275 Midget said that, judging by
the condition of the front end, it had at least a quarter of a million
miles on it, so I suppose it can be excused for leaking/burning half a
quart every 60 miles.
