Howdy,
Over the years I parted out (far too) many Bugeyes with Pete Downie and Fred 
Jordan up here in CT. We always observed that the various numbers on the cars 
generally fell within 500 numbers of the Chassis Plate.

We were never able to draw any conclusions just that observation.
