Hey Listers,
I'm a wannabe concourse kinda guy and I've come to the point in the
restoration of my Bugeye of installing the re-rubbered, re-anodized, new
windshield (triplex of course). This car has been disassembled for over
20 years and more trhan a few parts were missing. Parts that were not
missing were a mix of the original ones and whatever someone 30 years
ago used to make a repair when they lost parts in a repair job. This is
the crux of my problem. I have 2 good original windshield post to body
screws and 2 that someone put to a grinding wheel for some reason. I
can do my own zinc plating. Has anyone got a couple of these screws
laying around in a jar out in the garage somewhere? I'll pay. The
replacement ones from VB (bothe chrome and Zinc plated) are Posidriv
screws. Just doesn't look right without the half moon cuts between the
slots of the Phillips oval head originals.
Thanks, Mike MacLean-60 Sprite
