Hi Dave,
        I normally use an ACCEL universal wire kit with the spiral wound wire
core. These have good conductivity and are much more durable than the carbon
core standard stuff. Local speed shops should have the V8 set for around
$30.00 and you can make them to the exact length you need. Plus have enough
left over to make four spare wires. I have had many of the standard type wires
fail within a year while the silicone spiral cores have yet to fail on me.
(By fail I mean the resistance went up to unacceptable levels)
