generator thanks and weather

Thanks for all the input on generator opinions.  Looks like I will get another
regulator and be happy.  Since I cleaned and adjusted mine Monday evening all
has been marginally okay.  It's rained every day and I've had to use lights
and wipers.  Also I've had the top up ;)  I have no doubt the alternator
conversion would be better but where would I plug all those extra wires in 
my new harness?
