Terry,
        Sorry if this is asking the obvious, have you looked EVERYwhere on the
outside of the engine? Like: exhaust clamp, heater pipe clamp at manifold,
carb linkage, generator strap, exhaust mount at gearbox, etc.
I haven't heard "tinkling" noises from inside the engine, those are deeper
like a rattling noise. I like trying easy stuff first.
