There are at least three books in the "Speedpro series" that might be of
interest:
1. How to Power Tune Midget and Sprite (hey, didn't he get it backward? I
thought Sprite came before Midget <G>) by Daniel Stapleton, Veloce
publishing Co.( ISBN 1 874105 68 5)
2.How to Blueprint and Build a 4-Cylinder Short Block for High Performance,
by Des Hammill (ISBN 1 874105 85 5)
3.How to Power Tune the BMC/BL/Rover 1275 A-Series Engine also by Des
Hammill.( ISBN 1 901295 07 9)
There are other books in the series which deal with Heads, ignition systems,
Webbers, etc. but I have not seen them.
I can't remember where I got my copies but I think MiniMania has them as
should the other usual suspects whose names begin with A or B and end in
.com.
The first primarily deals with chassis issues but the other two are good
compliments to Vizard's book.
I enjoyed meeting and talking to Rick/Carolyn and Larry this weekend (they
were easy to spot as they were sporting Toby's designer shirts as was I) and
I hope all who were in Monterey for the British Car days returned home
safely.

"How to hot-rod your 1275" or something like that by Des Hammill is a good
book too, even though he builds race engine so he uses tighter tolerances
on some things and is very anal about everything. The book contains great
pictures and recommendations, I definitely receommend it for the
first-time rebuilder. A 948cc version of the book is about to come out or
has already come out.
