Thanks to those that answered,
For those who care I got my set of threaded bushings and a new
fulcrum pin from Apple Hydraulics in NY (30$ for the set +pin). He was
very nice about taking them back. The problem is that the brand new
larger threaded bushing was badly loose even with a new fulcrum pin.
Examining the bushing I could see that the hole had been drilled
overlarge before it was tapped. The threads were flat-topped instead of
sharp. To his defense, he said he gets them from a third party supplier.
I asked that he relay my comment to this supplier that he may improve
his product.
I'm going to go with the old one for now and try again later after more
pressing problems are dealt with.
