How can you adjust valves with the engine running! The adjusters are moving
and the tools would fly all over.
Search the list archives for loads of help on this. It is a very easy job.
Some people push the car in gear to advance the engine. If space doesn't
permit this (like my inclined driveway) use a remote starter switch connected
to the starter solenoid. Just quickly press the switch to move the engine to
where you want it. Switches are cheep at Pep Boys.
