Ther might be an easier way.
If the bleeder can be reached from the tunnel passenger footwell, like
in the later Midgets, push a piece of tubing, that fits snugly over the
bleeder onto the bleeder and into a jar with about 1 inch of brake fluid
in the jar. Put the jar in the passenger floor where you can see it
from the pedal pushing position. Make sure the tubing is immersed in
the fluid in the jar. Open the bleeder (slightly) and leave it open.
Now you can pump the clutch and watch
the jar at the same time. When the bubbles stop you are done, stop
pumping and close the bleeder. Don't
reuse the fluid from the jar! And don't let the master cyl go empty
while you are pumping.
