Ian,
The Sprite is already 12 volt and can easily be converted to negative
ground.
CD players won't fit in the dash of a MkII but you can find tape players
that will. You will need to get creative to mount the CD player, maybe a
radio console from a later car.
The Minator (Minilite replica) is about the cheapest mag type wheel unless
you can find a set of used ones.
Check the Moss and VB catalogs to get an idea of some of the replacement
steering wheels that are available then find a dealer that sells them
cheaper.
