Sorry to join today's non-LBC fray - 
Going on a first flight of an acft you've worked on
after signing a waiver saying you assume all liability
for anything that kills you is a pretty good gut
check....  Seeing 80 of your best friends then go on
the 2nd flight over to Desert Storm to fly combat
missions at Schwarzkopf's request instead of the Air
Force guys because the system is too new for the USAF
to be able to be trained properly is another good
reality check.  Plus Woodrat's house is directly in
the glide path, and she don't glide real well...
