Ben,

The issue is that you have the old speedy drive gear in the tranny.  You need 
to swap the existing one (which I believe is red) for a white one.  My speed is 
about 5 mph off since I switched to the 3.7.  The new speedo won't help if you 
use the old gear.  Good luck with the gear.  They're harder to find than the 
diffy's.
