Re: close ratio gearbox

Great answer to Tobys question.  The only thing you left out was the cost.
Last time I checked the close ratio, straight cut gear, ribcase was
$1200-$1500.  For the street a 5-speed is the way to go. Full syncro box
with overdrive and if bought top of the line, bolt in kit and rebuilt tranny
it would still be less.  If you do most of the work yourself about half the
cost.
