Hello Doug,

       i have one mounted in my '66.. its down below the radiator..
       just in front .. of it.. some of the air passes thru both... ..
       the PO put it in.. and routed the hoses thru the hole in
       passenger side of the bulkhead where the hose to the heater box
       usually goes to pick up fresh air.. (no heater blower for me).. i really 
don't see
       an alternative without drilling holes somewhere.. ..
