Sign up for a TIG class at your local community college
Make friends w/ the Instructor
Take your project there and do it on thier equipment
Better yet, take it there and let the INSTRUCTOR use it for a real world
teaching aid
He'll do the welding (Most of these guys are REALLY good and teach at night for
extra $) and you get a professional job and learn a lot in the class w/o having
to make lots of mistake on your good stuff
I won the Lincoln Arc welding competition 20 years ago by building a frame for a
guy who was putting together 23 T street rod and got an A in the class to boot
