I just want to throw in my 2 pence here, since I was one of the listers who
drove 6 hours to Latrobe to help a lister in need.

I don't want to add up the costs I incurred on that weekend. I took a vaca
day from work on Friday, drove most of the way, stayed in a motel Friday
night, split a half case of beer with a few others who stayed at the same
motel, drove to Latrobe Sat. morning, bought all my meals on the way out and
back. I had to leave Saturday, but the others stayed til Sunday. Add up the
cost of gas, motel, turnpike tolls, and meals.

I did this to help someone in need. I wasn't looking to get laid (and I
didn't!) but I got a free lunch and a beer or two at Amy's. Our buddy,
chuck, made out better than the rest of us, because he got a tattoo. I feel
like she used us all, and now she has probably signed off the list and sold
the car. We'll never hear from her again.

I'm sorry Ed, but you got screwed worse than any of us. At least I got to
watch some amazing people work on a classic LBC. All Ed can do is write off
the bad debt.

BTW, I will do the same thing all over again if anyone within a reasonable
distance (Philadelphia, PA area) needs help. I had a fun weekend with a
great bunch of people, and I will not judge anyone else by a single bad
experience. Some of us got together a coupla months ago and we stripped
Larry M's Midget and painted it, along with replacing the front shox and king
pins on my Midget. All at chuck's garage.

Now I own a house with a big garage. After I get a little more organized
(prolly by spring) I will have lots of work space. C'mon over!
